Mission and Board of Directors

Who We Are and Why

The Caldwell Arts Council was organized and incorporated in March 1976 to foster cultural arts in Caldwell County.

Our mission is:

  • To establish and maintain an awareness and appreciation of cultural arts in Caldwell County
  • To encourage participation in arts events
  • To offer various educational opportunities and administrative services in support of artists, arts agencies, and audiences

Governance, Funding and Support

We are governed by a 13 - 18 member volunteer Board of Directors who are elected for three-year terms.

Our funding comes from many sources including local governments and foundations, the North Carolina Arts Council, local businesses and industries, and community patrons. Special event sponsorships and contributions are received from our members and other interested individuals.

Our organization is housed in the historic Broyhill home place which was given to the organization in 2004.
